Patrick Connor
President

Patrick Connor is President of Director’s Choice Tour & Travel. He served as Executive Vice President from 1996 until assuming his current role.

Mr. Connor is on the Board of Directors for the Student Youth Travel association and currently serves as the board liaison to the Public Relations Committee. He also serves on the International Advisory Board for the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Convention and Visitors Authority.

Prior to his involvement with Director’s Choice, Connor served as a band director in the Frenship Independent School District in Wolfforth, Texas. Patrick remains active as a performing musician, clinician, and drill writer.

Jill Odorizzi
Director of Finance

Jill Odorizzi is a native Lubbockite and Texan. She played the trombone for 6 years and was a member of her high school colorguard. She received her bachelors degree, graduating magna cum laude, and masters degree from Texas Tech University in finance. Jill began working for Director's Choice in 1999, beginning as a student assistant to pay her way through college, and eventually came on full-time in August of 2004, as the Director of Finance. She and her husband, Jeff, have recently bought an older home and they enjoy spending their free time remodeling and playing with their dogs, Lucy and Harper. She loves her job because of the wonderful people she works with and the opportunity it gives her to combine her expertise in finance and her passion for travel.

Gary Rector
Director of Operations

Gary Rector is the Director of Business Development for Director's Choice Tour & Travel. He has been with Director's Choice since 2001. Prior to that, Gary owned a Home Health Agency for 14 years. Gary oversees all new and emerging markets and products for the Company. He is married to Robin Rector and they have two children, Lauri and Jonathan. Gary is an avid music lover and plays bass guitar in the band, West of Eden.

Robin Rector
Director of Sales

Robin Rector is the Director of Sales for Director's Choice Tour & Travel and has served as a member of the Director's Choice team since the company's inception. Prior to that, Ms. Rector held various positions in the Frenship Independent School District in Wolfforth, TX.

Customer Service / Sales
Phil Anthony

Mr. Anthony retired from teaching in May of 2000 after 35 years of teaching in Texas. Mr. Anthony has taught in Littlefield, Clarendon, Lubbock, and Frenship. His bands at Coronado High School in Lubbock were UIL Sweepstakes winners for 27 years. The Coronado Band, under his direction, performed at the Midwest Band & Orchestra clinic in Chicago. His Coronado Bands were also named “Outstanding Concert Band” at the Greater Southwest Music Festival in Amarillo, and the “Field Champion” at the Sun Bowl Marching Band Contest in El Paso. His Coronado Band was also a finalist in the Fiesta Bowl Marching Contest in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mr. Anthony recently served on the board of directors of the Texas Bandmasters Association, having served as President for 1993-94. Mr. Anthony is also a charter member of the Texas Adjudicators Association and holds membership in Phi Beta Mu, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Phi Mu Alpha. He has directed numerous All-Region bands in Texas and New Mexico and adjudicates both marching and concert contests in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Since his retirement from active teaching Mr. Anthony, along with three other Texas music educators, founded Director’s Choice Inc., a corporation devoted to the development of educational services for public school bands, orchestras, and choirs.

Since the summer of 1997, Phil Anthony has been the conductor of the Westwinds Brass Band, a community brass band in Lubbock, Texas.

Dru Barecky

Mrs. Dru Barecky has been employed with Director's Choice Tour & Travel for three years.  Prior to this job, she was a school secretary for 15 years with the Lubbock Independent School District.  In high school, she played a French Horn and after graduation, she toured with "Continental Singers", a Christian singing group, throughout the United States and the Caribbean Islands.  In college, she had the honor of marching with the Texas Tech "Goin' Band from Raiderland".  Dru has three children, Mike, 27, Melaney, 25, and Monica, 22.  In her spare time, she also enjoys going to Dallas to visit with her 8 year old granddaughter, Kaitlyn.

Paul Black

Paul Black grew up in Dallas, Texas where he graduated from Newman Smith High School in 2004. He attended Texas Tech University where he graduated magna cum laude in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in electronic media & communications and a minor in music. While at Texas Tech, he studied with Mr. Christopher M. Smith and performed in the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the "Goin' Band from Raiderland." He also performed in the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra and San Angelo Symphony Orchestra.

Paul was a member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Wind Symphony for two years and spent three years in the mellophone section of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, where he was a soloist and section leader.

Prior to his employment with Director's Choice, he worked part-time at Monterey High School as a brass and visual instructor with the marching band, which received a Division I UIL rating. After the marching season, he helped out as a private French horn instructor and taught French horn sectionals for the Monterey H.S. Wind Symphony. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, exercising, watching Red Raider sports, playing his horn, and is involved in his church's college and youth groups.

Trey Caliva

Trey Caliva began working with Director's Choice Tour & Travel as a Customer Representative in October 2007. He was born in New Orleans, La., but considers himself a native of San Antonio, where he graduated from William H. Taft High School in 2001. In that same year, he was selected to participate in a pilot of the Texas Performance Standards Project, used to assess exit level achievement of gifted and talented students statewide. As part of the project, Trey studied with Dr. David Heuser of UTSA and composed a three movement piece for wind ensemble.

Trey attended Texas Tech University and is currently finishing his degree in Mathematics and Political Science. Trey was a saxophone player and section leader in the "Goin' Band from Raiderland," played with the Court Jesters Basketball Band, and was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi. In addition, Trey wrote columns and served as the Opinions Editor for The Daily Toreador, Texas Tech's student newspaper.

In his free time, Trey enjoys keeping up with politics, composing and arranging music, and playing the guitar.

Rachel Martin

Rachel Martin is a Customer Representative for Director's Choice Tour & Travel and has been with the company since July 2004. After graduating from Sweeny High School, she attended Lubbock Christian University and is currently finishing her degree in Organizational Management. She was an active choir member throughout junior high, high school and college. Rachel is the proud mother of her beautiful six-year old daughter Kelsey.

Josh Parker

Josh is a Lubbock native and graduated from Lubbock Coronado High School in 1999. He went on to Austin College and graduated with degrees in Business and Religion. He has performed in ensembles the majority of his life including the Coronado Chorale, Scarlet Fever, Austin College A Cappella Choir, AC Consort, and Lubbock Chorale. He has toured all over the world, spending time in Australia, Peru, Russia, South Africa, Thailand, and a variety of locations around the U.S.

Prior to his employment with Director's Choice Tour & Josh served as a Travel pageant consultant, wedding planner, marketing director, Cirque du Soleil chef, missionary advisor, and the list goes on.

Allison Turner

Allison was born and raised in Louisiana. Her family moved to Texas, where she graduated from Kingwood High School in 1992. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1995. While at Texas Tech, she performed as a member of the Symphonic Band under the direction of James Sudduth, the Symphony Orchestra, and the Goin’ Band. In 1992, Allison was selected to perform with the National Flute Association National Flute Choir in Los Angeles, CA. She enjoys playing flute, traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading, and playing with her dog.

Allison is currently a Senior Customer Representative for Director’s Choice in Lubbock, TX. Previously, she was a Band Director for 7 years in the San Antonio and Hill Country areas where her bands were consistent UIL and Festival Sweepstakes winners. She has been a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, National Flute Association, and Goin’ Band Alumni Association.

Operations
Johanna Feminear

Johanna has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Texas Tech University and a Masters of Art in Museum Science from Texas Tech University. For almost five years she was Project Coordinator at the Lubbock Fine Arts Center coordinating the contemporary visual arts programs and events for the Center. She was part of the team that facilitated the opening of the Buddy Holly Center in September 1999, including coordinating the Grand Opening events and acting as Collection Manager for the Buddy Holly collection. In addition to her visual arts background, Johanna has six years of experience in the theatre arts in performance and costuming.

She is currently Operations Associate for Director’s Choice.

Amanda Knight

Amanda Knight is an Operations Associate with Director's Choice Tour & Travel. She is new to the team coming on board in July, 2006. Amanda is a Lubbock native who graduated from Frenship High School in 1997 and went on to Texas Tech University where she graduated in 2003 with a degree in Psychology.

Amanda was a proud member of the Frenship High School Tiger Band as a twirler, percussionist and colorguard member. She was also a proud member of The Goin’ Band from Raiderland where she served as both flag captain and band librarian.

Amanda and her husband, Steven, enjoy being in Lubbock and being close to many dear family and friends. Steven is currently in his first year as a band director at Lubbock High School. They also love spending all of their spare time with their two adorable puppies-Joey and Max.

Sarah Clark

Sarah Clark is a Lubbock native. She attended Texas Tech University where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing in December of 2001. Sarah has been working at Director's Choice since March of 2005. Sarah's strengths in organization and communication have allowed her to become an excellent operations associate. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Bradley Bishop

Brad Bishop, Network Administrator, is a graduate of Nederland, Texas. After a six year tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps, Brad attended college in Tampa, Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Tampa College.

Brad enjoys photography, traveling, and riding his new Harley Davidson Sportster. Learning to play the guitar is his latest undertaking.
