The "Awesome Cooper Band" from Abilene, TX will be making their way to Orlando, FL this Spring. They are set to depart on March 8 and will spend three days at Disney World and participate in Disney's Magic Music Days before their return on March 12. The Band is under the direction of Clay Johnson.

This is Mr. Johnson's first year as Head Director and according to him, "This year's trip to Disney World is very exciting for many students that have never had the opportunity to travel to such a location."

Disney Magic Music Days is a unique educational program designed for students of the arts. It gives instrumental, vocal and dance ensembles an opportunity to showcase their talents in a professional setting and study their craft in a positive, lively environment all with the side benefit of a little added entertainment.

Mr. Johnson added, " Our kids work so hard each year, and this is one time where they can sit back, have fun, and do what they love...make music!"

The students are working on a multitude of fundraisers to pay for the trip and the community's response has been extraordinary.
